UltraBac Version 9.4 delivers support for the Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system and Exchange 2013. It also adds new features to some of our best selling agents, including Hyper-V and vSphere.

The vSphere Agent introduces three exciting features to its repertoire. The vSphere backup server may be run from the guest virtual machine (VM) itself. Since no physical backup server is needed, this allows users to install and run backup operations from a VM within vCenter. Another new option is Single File Restore with UAC (user access control) active. This provides secure remote locations with the ability to perform individual file restores. This is ideal for remote locations where ADMIN level privileges are not granted. The vSphere Agent for VMware infrastructure data protection and disaster recovery also added support for NFS datastores.

Additional agent functionality includes differential backup for Ux Agent file-by-file backups, as well as new support for RHEL 5.9, 6.3, and 6.4. The Hyper-V Agent also has added support for GPT disk format.
