UltraBac Shines In Recent Reviews

"Backup and restore performance was impressive" is how SQL Server Magazine and Windows 2000 Magazine rated UltraBac in a recent lab test of seven enterprise backup solutions.

Recent reviews by SQL Server and Windows 2000 Magazine noted UltraBac's extensive features, ease of use, and cost were noted as attractive options to businesses needing stand-alone and network backup solutions. Limitations such as backup for remote clients will be addressed by the upcoming release of a completely new version of UltraBac. In the meantime, for complete data protection of Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP servers and workstations, users can combine UltraBac's File-by-File and Imaged Based Disaster Recovery software.

Once again, even against the industry's biggest names, UltraBac's backup and restore performances were labeled "impressive." UltraBac continues to stand out as an extremely good value and proves that expensive alternatives don't guarantee better backup!

"UltraBac Receives High Marks Again" in the November 2001 issue of Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine.

UltraBac 6.31 was reviewed alongside Backup Exec, ARCserve 2000 and Legato Networker. UltraBac scored at least equal to the competition, and better in some categories. Douglas Mechaber noted, "Both the compression and the speed of UltraBac were the best of any product I tested."

Also noted was UltraBac's "ability to back up to disk anywhere on the network, thus simplifying upgrades or moves." Agents such as UltraCopy, Locked File Manager and Express Index™ were featured as unique abilities. In summary, "UltraBac boasts impressive speed, efficiency and easy-to-use disaster recovery features."
