UltraBac Software this week updated its backup and disaster recovery software to add
support for Windows XP clients, network disaster recovery and integrated disk flashing technology.
UltraBac 6.3 Backup and Disaster Recovery is the latest version of the Windows NT/Windows 2000 product
that the Bellevue, Wash.-based company started shipping in 1995.
The network disaster recovery feature allows a user to boot a machine and restore an image of a previously
backed-up partition by booting from a DOS floppy.
The disk flashing technology stores an image of a disk to media and replicates it to another disk.
Flashing a disk is intended to allow administrators to quickly cloning and set up servers and workstations.
