UltraBac Software wins Security category for second straight year.
BELLEVUE, WA -- October 25, 2004 UltraBac Software today announced that its new UBDR Gold (UltraBac Disaster Recovery Gold) software won Government Computer News' (GCN) Best New Technology Award in the Security Software category at FOSE.
The company's products have won the Best New Technology Award in the Security Software category for two years running now. UltraBac 7.0.3 backup and recovery software won the same category at FOSE the previous year.
Judges from GCN and Washington Technology chose finalists from dozens of entries for each category based on innovation, features, relevance to the federal market and value. UltraBac Software was one of four finalists in the security software category. UBDR Gold offers secure disaster recovery by providing built-in encryption into its ability to backup and restore to literally every type of storage device.

Using a variable length encryption key allows users to vary the amount of protection needed to secure their data.
