Bellevue, WA -- February 20, 2001 UltraBac Software and Raxco Software today announced a partnership in which the two companies will sell each other’s award-winning Windows 2000/Windows NT® utility product solutions for servers and workstations.
UltraBac Software is the publisher of UltraBac Backup and Disaster Recovery and Raxco is the publisher of PerfectDisk 2000.
When PerfectDisk 2000 is used for disk defragmentation and UltraBac is used for backup and disaster recovery, the two software solutions give customers the ultimate in optimized disks and fast backups. UltraBac is widely recognized as the fastest backup solution for Windows®. UltraBac's performance, however, can be significantly impacted if a disk is badly fragmented (all disks become fragmented as part of daily use). PerfectDisk 2000 works by moving fragmented parts of files around on a disk and packing them tightly together. Defragmentation not only creates more usable disk space but can enhance system performance by up to 50 percent. When used regularly, PerfectDisk 2000 will allow UltraBac to run at peak performance.
