The "Image" preferences dialog box follows:

Figure: Image Preferences
Enabling the "Always backup partitions individually" option prevents the imaging of unallocated free-space.
Selecting the "Enable in-use cluster backup for partitions with known file-systems" option forces UltraBac to image only those disk clusters which contain data.
Enabling these options greatly reduces the time needed to
perform an image backup and restore; while requiring less media to perform the
operation.
Note: Neither of these options apply to image backups
created using the UBDR utility or the three SADR floppies. Both of these utilities may perform restores of images created
with these options enabled. Neither of these options apply to disk or partition level static mirror images. When performing a static mirror
image, all sectors are backed up irregardless of whether data resides on the sectors.
Note: If you wish to perform a standard image backup of all of the sectors on a hard drive, then these preferences need to be disabled.
Note: Images created with the in-use cluster image preference enabled cannot be mounted.
