When using an autoloader in interactive operation, take note that the default operation is different between backing up a single set and the "Run Now -- Unattended" option.
The default for a single set operation is to begin the backup using the tape from first slot in the magazine. If no tape is currently loaded, the backup operation will load the first tape. If a tape from another slot is currently loaded, it will be unloaded and the first tape will then be automatically loaded.
The default for a "Run Now -- Unattended" operation is to use whatever tape has been designated in the "Starting Autoloader Slot" field on the "Scheduler"/"Scheduled Backups"/(highlight the appropriate group)/"Options"/"Autoloader Options" screen. If a slot has not been designated, the tape used will be the same as discussed above for a single set operation. A "Run Now -- Interactive" operation also works the same as a single set operation.
NOTES
The progress indicator box is based on each set that is processed within the group. If three backup sets are processed, then the progress indicator box will show that three sets are to be processed (e.g. processing 1 of 3) and display the progress indicator listing 0 - 100% for a total of three times as each set is processed.
