NOTES ON DEVICES:

Device numbers are defined by the type of storage devices defined within UltraBac, and the number of each device type. The device types are as follows:

000-099

Tape Devices

100-199

Diskpaths

200-299

not used

300-399

Disk Image

400-499

Partition Image

500-599

Device Sets

If a disk device is listed in UltraBac, for example, as being Disk0, then it would be defined as Device100. Disk1 would be Device101, Disk2 would be Device102, Tape0 would be Device000, etc.

NOTES

Having a backup set and group file format, which can be edited, allows users with sufficient expertise to customize complex backup sets by either using a text editor or by programming.
